The Dreamiest Honeymoon – Stop 1

I’ll be honest, I am almost hesitant to even share where was stayed for our honeymoon because both places are truly hidden gems! And thats what makes this resort extra special. The Other Side is genuinely a destination I would call heaven on earth. This magical boutique hotel is nestled alongside a quant little beach on the island of Eleuthera, Bahamas. The staff was absolutely spectacular and make you feel like you’re family the second you call and book your reservation.

Technically TOS calls their lodging “Glamping” and you can choose between either a ‘Shack’ on the hill with an ocean front view or a ‘Tent’ which is only steps away from the beach. Since we had set up our ‘honeymoon’ fund and this was actually our first real vacation just Will & I, we splurged on a Tent and our experience lived up to everything I had envisioned.

Whats so spectacular about TOS, is not only can you mentally & physically slow down, but its a super private and unique experience. The bar works on an honor system, so whenever we helped ourselves to cocktails or wine – we wrote it down in the little brown book they kept on the counter and they billed us at the end of our stay. For Will & I, this was super cool and just really felt like you were experiencing something special. The resort was quiet during our stay & there were only a few other couples visiting at the same time. In the morning the chef asks when you’d like to eat dinner and gives you a couple different options, the food was spectacular and the dining experience was so romantic. No tvs, limited wifi, music plays from the record player & all you have is each other – delicious food, a warm breeze and incredible memories.
